AC Not Cooling in Alma, AR (Bug Packed Contactor Replaced)

An Alma Comfort Club (our maintenance plan) member called because the AC was not cooling.

What Our Technician Found

Our technician checked the outdoor unit and found the contactor (the switch that sends power to the outdoor unit when the AC turns on) packed with debris and bugs. When debris gets between the contact points, the switch may not close and the outdoor unit will not run.
