Fall tune-ups are how River Valley systems finish cooling season and get ready for heat. In mid-September, a Greenwood homeowner booked a Cool Deal AC tune-up special online. Our technician opened the condenser (the outdoor unit) for a real look inside.
What Our Technician Found
With the top of the outdoor unit off, the compressor (the pump inside the outdoor unit) and the inside of the coil cabinet could be checked and cleaned as part of the tune-up. That is where leaves, lint and grime collect, out of sight from the yard.

What We Completed
- Completed the AC tune-up.
- Checked and cleaned key outdoor parts, including the inside of the outdoor unit.
- Checked the wiring connections, refrigerant (the fluid that carries heat out of your home), coils and airflow as part of the tune-up.
The Result
The outdoor unit finished the visit cleaner and fully checked, with the full tune-up checklist done. Learn more about our AC maintenance.
What Homeowners Can Learn From This Job
- Open the cabinet, do not just rinse the outside. The inside hides the debris that makes the unit work harder.
- Online booking works for maintenance too. This visit was booked online.
- Fall is a great time. Finish cooling season strong before you need heat every morning.
