Luis and Seth installed a Samsung ductless system in a Greenwood home, giving one room its own heating and cooling without any ductwork.
What We Installed
A ductless system, sometimes called a mini split, has two main parts. Inside, a slim unit mounts high on the wall and blows cool or warm air straight into the room. Outside, a compact unit does the heavy lifting. The two are connected by copper lines that carry the cooling fluid through a small opening in the wall. This Samsung WindFree system both heats and cools, and the room can be set to its own temperature separate from the rest of the house.

What We Completed
- Mounted the Samsung WindFree indoor unit on the wall
- Set the outdoor unit on a new equipment pad
- Ran the copper lines between the indoor and outdoor units
- Installed an outdoor power shutoff box for safe servicing
- Started the system and checked it in heating and cooling
The Result
The room now has its own heating and cooling, with a temperature setting separate from the rest of the house. Ductless units like this are a clean option for rooms that need their own control. Learn more on our Greenwood AC installation page.
What Homeowners Can Learn From This Job
- No ductwork needed. Ductless systems work well for rooms where running new ductwork would be hard.
- Each room can have its own setting. A ductless unit lets one space run warmer or cooler than the rest of the house.
- Keep the indoor filters clean. The wall unit has washable filters that should be rinsed regularly.
