What we found

The homeowner booked a regular tune-up and asked for a look at the ductwork. Logan and Alejandro checked the system from the outdoor unit to the ducts in the attic and found three things to take care of.

The fan motor capacitor, the part that gives the fan motor its starting kick, needed replacing. The blower (the indoor fan that pushes air to every room) needed a deep cleaning. The drain pan also needed a safety switch, the kind that shuts the AC off if the drain backs up.

The result

The system now has a cleaner indoor fan and a safety switch that shuts it off if water starts to rise in the drain pan, before it can overflow onto a ceiling. A clean fan moves more air with less strain on its motor.
