This Van Buren homeowner was ready to replace both the cooling and heating equipment. Luis and Seth installed a matched American Standard system, with the outdoor unit beside the house and the furnace in an indoor closet.
What We Installed
Outside, we installed an American Standard Silver series air conditioner, the outdoor unit that carries heat from inside the home out into the yard. Indoors, we set a new matching cooling coil, which pulls heat and humidity from the air, on top of a new American Standard gas furnace. This furnace is an ultra-low emission model, built to put out less pollution when it burns gas.

What We Completed
- Removed the old equipment and set the new air conditioner outside
- Installed a matching indoor cooling coil and a new low emission gas furnace in the closet
- Connected the vent piping, drain lines and power to the new equipment
- Started the system and confirmed it was cooling and heating properly
The Result
The homeowner now has a matched system for both seasons, and a furnace built to put out less pollution. Learn more on our Van Buren AC installation page.
What Homeowners Can Learn From This Job
- Replacing both at once can make sense. When the AC and furnace are similar in age, doing them together means everything is matched from day one.
- Cleaner burning furnaces are an option. Ask about low emission models if that matters to you.
- Keep the closet around the furnace clear. Good access helps with filter changes and safe operation.
