Existing Heating and Cooling System Replaced in Van Buren, AR (Ameristar Heat Pump)

A Van Buren homeowner needed the existing heating and cooling system replaced. Luis, Seth and Johan removed the old equipment and installed a complete new Ameristar heat pump system, inside and out.

What We Installed

A heat pump is an outdoor unit that cools your home in summer and then runs in reverse to bring heat inside in winter, so one system handles both seasons. Indoors, we installed a matching Ameristar air handler (the indoor cabinet with the fan that moves air across the indoor coil and through your ducts) in the closet.

What We Completed

  • Removed and hauled away the existing system
  • Set the new Ameristar heat pump outside and the matching air handler in the indoor closet
  • Connected the copper lines that carry the cooling fluid between the two units, plus all electrical connections
  • Started the system, checked it in both heating and cooling, and walked the homeowner through how it works

The Result

The home now has one matched system for year-round comfort, with a clean closet install that is easy to reach for filter changes and service visits. Learn more on our Van Buren AC installation page.

What Homeowners Can Learn From This Job

  • Heat pumps do double duty. One outdoor unit covers both cooling and heating, which keeps the setup simple.
  • Match the indoor and outdoor parts. An air handler sized and built for the heat pump helps the system run as designed.
  • Keep the closet clear. Easy access makes filter changes and maintenance quicker and more likely to happen.
