What we found
This air conditioner is five years old or less, and it was in for a routine tune-up. With the top of the outdoor unit off, Logan found leaves and debris collected in the bottom of the unit and dirt on the outdoor coil.
Even a newer system collects debris. The outdoor coil is where the air conditioner gets rid of the heat it pulls out of the house, and dirt on it makes the system work harder to do the same job.
